Hello I'm John D Farquhar,an NRA Training Counselor/Instructor I am a fulltime Instructor. I have had an interest in firearms all of my life. In the past 14 years Gunfighting, & Gunfight survival have been a key interest of mine. Of course the real key is to avoid the gunfight in the first place.
In 1990 I joined the NRA, I am now a Benefactor Member.
I am also on the NRA's Presidents Council, NRA Golden Eagles, & the NRA 2nd Ammendment Task Force. In 1992 I became a Certified NRA Instructor. Over the years I have designed over 100 Tactical combat matches at my club. I have coached & trained a large number of shooters in the DCM/CMP competitions. I have worked on shooting programs for the USAF. In 2002 I became an NRA RSO. 2003 was certified as an NRA Training Counseler & Chief Range Safety Officer. 2004 in NRA Qualification, reached "Distinguished Expert" in Handgun. March 2006 Certified as a Monadnock Extended Baton Instructor. She is an NRA Benefactor member, She is also a member of the OFCC, The Second Amendment Sisters, & the Liberty Belles. 2004 she certified as a NRA Pistol, Personal Protection in the Home, Rifle, Shotgun, & HFS Instructor. Feburary 2005 certified as NRA Range Safety Officer. June 2006, qualified as Expert-Handgun (931/1000 31x).
December 2007 approved as a: Refuse to be a Victim Instructor.

He is licensed by the State of Utah as a Firearms Instructor, & is a licensed FFL. 2008/09/10/11/12 completed the Bulletproof Mind training.

On the firing line we keep a low student to Instructor ratio. Our max is one Instructor per 4 students.
